01Are late check-ins and check-outs permitted?

Check-ins can be no later than 9 PM — as we're located in a quiet, peaceful village, we ask that guests are checked in before it's too late in the evening so as not to cause disturbance to our neighbors. Also, the access road may feel more challenging in the dark. Checkout is 11 AM. Late checkouts can be permitted depending on whether we have a booking immediately after.

02What is your cancellation or booking policy?

03Do you have Wi-Fi?

Yes, Wi-Fi is available.

04Are there frequent electricity outages?

No, they are rare. And we have an inverter backup.

05Is the location very remote?

While you will feel like you're on a secluded hillside, the bustling village bazaar is only a 2 minute drive away! That is the beauty of The Lookout — you can totally unwind in nature but also avail of great restaurants, beaches and lots of sightseeing.

06Are you family friendly?

While we welcome children, we ask that you respect the natural beauty of the peaceful surroundings.

07Can we wander anywhere in the estate?

Yes, the entire one acre property is for you to enjoy, but picking fruit, flowers, or removing anything belonging to The Lookout is strictly forbidden.

08Are there bugs or other creepy crawlies?

Yes, since it's a very natural environment you will likely see geckos, lizards, frogs and flying insects. We have tried to minimize ingress into the cottage by adding mesh on the windows and suggest you keep the sliding doors closed at all times. But we hope you enjoy the natural environment.

09Are pets allowed?

Unfortunately we cannot allow pets as we want to avoid upsetting the delicate balance of the wildlife present on the site. The no-pet policy works for the safety of your pets as well.

10Do you allow music?

The Lookout is a serene nature getaway. While soft music in the cottage is okay, loud music is not permitted so as not to disturb the wildlife. 9 PM to 8 AM is quiet time on the hill.

11Is smoking and alcohol allowed?

While alcohol consumption on the property is allowed, public intoxication or obscene language is not tolerated. No smoking anywhere on the property — we are a drug-free property.
